How to Fix iPhone Cellular Data Not Working on iOS 15

Many users reported iPhone cellular data issues on iOS 15. This is a widespread problem after the update. Apple used premium components in the device’s design to extend its lifespan. Your iOS device will not experience a hardware failure. The software must communicate with the hardware to ensure that the whole process runs smoothly.

iPhone Cellular Data is not working after iOS 15?

I wouldn’t recommend getting into this subject. Many factors contribute to cellular data issues. It’s much simpler to find the solutions and reduce the effort required to fix the problems with mobile internet connections. Here are some reasons mobile data may stop working suddenly.

  1. Telecommunication did not update the internet settings.
  2. Software problems
  3. e-SIM issues.
  4. Configuration.
  5. SIM card not used.

All issues have been resolved to fix the cellular data issues in iOS 15.

1. SIM Card

My current SIM card is more than five years old, and my previous SIM card was seven. After several years of use, I replaced my old card with a new one. The universal integrated circuit card (UICC), a physical smart card, is used to make physical SIM cards. It is made from a mixture of PVC and embedded contacts and semiconductors.

It is possible that the UICC card has lost its value or needs to be cleaned periodically to function correctly. To clean the SIM card, you will need a SIM ejector and a dry microfiber cloth.

  1. Turn off your iPhone.
  2. Take out the card using the ejector.
  3. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the card.
  4. Take your time, and gently wipe it with a soft cloth without force.
  5. Re-insert your SIM card into the iPhone.

You can turn on your device to resume mobile internet service without errors. Contact the carrier to have the card replaced or the eSIM activated.

2. Enable LTE Services

LTE is the next-generation service that will allow millions of people to communicate efficiently. You must enable LTE services on your iOS device. You will need to choose 3G, 4G, or 5G manually from the settings. Let me demonstrate how to enable LTE and select the right connection.

  1. Tap the ” Setting” app.
  2. To view more, select ” Mobile Data” or ” Data Cellular” to see more.
  3. Tap to activate the ” Cellular Data” or ” Mobil Data” feature.
  4. To see more options, tap on ” Data Options.”
  5. To view more, choose “Voice & Data.”
  6. Choose the connection and it will be 4G for me.

Mobile internet should be working by now. If your carrier supports LTE and VoLTE, you can enable them. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, you can look at other options below.

3. Enable/Disable Airplane Mode

The iOS device will sleep if it is set to Airplane Mode. Allow the device to experience a calm period before turning it back on.

  1. Open the ” Setting” app.
  2. To turn it on, tap “Airplane Mode.” Give it a minute.
  3. To turn it off, tap ” Airplane Mode.”

The iPhone should now have network connections and mobile internet restored. Don’t worry if your cellular data doesn’t work on the iOS device. I have provided the last restore link below.

4. Contact Carrier Customer Care

Your telecommunication company may stop providing services or make unidentified errors that cause mobile internet problems.

For more information, I recommend that you contact customer service. You might have an add-on package or bandwidth limit.

Talk to the support team by opening your carrier’s dedicated app. Open a ticket and find the number for your network on the official website.

5. Turn off LDM

Low Data Mode disables background apps and allows you to use mobile data services. LDM blocks apps from connecting to the internet and prevents them from syncing. It is an extraordinary effort to preserve internet package data on the iPhone.

  1. Tap the ” Setting” app.
  2. To view more, select ” Mobile Data” and “Cellular Data.”
  3. You must enable the “Cellular Data ” and “Mobile Data features.
  4. To see more options, tap “Mobile Data Options.”
  5. Tap to disable Low Data Mode.

Mobile data restriction has been successfully enabled in the iOS system. You should not exceed the internet package’s maximum limit. This will force you to disable LDM once again.

6. Update Carrier Settings

The world has chosen a different spectrum of networks that best suits their environment and the available technology. Mobile internet connectivity can be approached in different ways across the globe. Back in those days, carriers sent mobile internet configurations via SMS.

Smartphones are more innovative than ever. You don’t have to fetch the internet configuration manually. The iOS device can be updated with the carrier settings.

  1. Tap the ” Setting” app.
  2. Select the ” General setting.
  3. To continue, select the ” About device.
  4. Updates to carrier configuration should be visible in the ” About” section.

It’s not available in my case, so I can’t show you how to make it work. Tap on the Install button in the About section to save your network settings.

7. Reset Network Settings

Developers have included reset options in iOS software. You can fix the problem by resetting network settings. Let me show you how to reset the network configuration on iPhone.

Back up your iPhone with iTunes and iCloud.

  1. Tap the ” Setting” app.
  2. Select the ” General setting.
  3. Scroll down and choose “Transfer iPhone or Reset iPhone.”
  4. Tap the ” Set” button.
  5. Select “Reset Network Settings.”
  6. To confirm your identity, enter the Passcode.
  7. To confirm, tap “Reset Network Setting.”

The Apple logo will appear on your iPhone screen when it restarts. You can see the remaining time left by the clock in the progress bar beneath the Apple logo.
