Pokémon HOME 2.0 for iOS Brings Compatibility with Nintendo Switch Games

Pokemon HOME is rolling out the most significant update since its debut. With version 2.0, users can now incorporate the latest Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and Pokemon Shining Pearlto, the cloud service application alongside previous Nintendo Switch games.

In the Pokemon HOME update, trainers can keep on “their Pokemon adventures beyond a single game system and manage their collection of Pokemon across many of their games.”

This update introduces Strange Balls. According to an announcement, since Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set “in the distant past of the world of Pokemon,” creatures from the various main game titles will be seen within Strange Balls. In contrast, the creatures caught in the Legends game Arceus are expected to appear on a regular Poke Ball in these games.

In celebration of Pokemon Brilliant DiamondPokemon Shining Pearl and Pokemon Legends: Arceus being Compatible with Pokemon HOME, Players will receive unique Pokemon when they connect game on Pokemon HOME.

  • Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott, with the highest effort levels, will be offered Mystery Gifts on the mobile versions of Pokemon HOME when you deposit a Pokemon in Legends of Arceus: Arceus.
  • Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup with Hidden Abilities are available as mystery gifts on the mobile version of Pokemon HOME when you deposit a Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and shining Pearl.

It is expected that the iOS version of Pokemon HOME will also bring new achievements and stickers after satisfying certain requirements regarding the games’ compatibility with cloud systems.
